Exploring options for a dog park adjacent to Mendez Place

The City of Colwood is committed to fostering vibrant and inclusive community spaces that serve the needs and interests of our residents. As part of this commitment, Colwood Council recently passed a motion to explore the feasibility of establishing an off-leash dog park in the green space adjacent to Mendez Place.

What else is the City considering for dog parks?

Colwood's Parks & Recreation Master Plan includes several recommendations related to dogs, including enhancements to Colwood Creek Park and establishment of several on-leash areas. Check out the plan at www.colwood.ca/ParksPlanning

Gathering community input

At this stage, the proposal is in the exploratory phase, and no decisions have been made. We are reaching out to inform you of this initiative and invite your input.
