Its a great idea for sure!

My worry is that using City funds to host these events does not leverage other funding sources such as Provincial & Federal as well as other non profit organizations in our community that could take on this initiative. In other communities of this size many times a volunteer in the community organizes and delivers events such as this.

There seemed to be many music in the park events this summer. Maybe cut back to half of what was done this year would be a better balance.

Is was also curious to me that these events were in support of a Skatepark that is a not for profit itself.

Will the City be hosting other events to support other not for profits?
