Pickford Road Traffic Calming measures installed
City staff have reviewed, scoped and assessed how cars, bikes and pedestrians use Pickford Road between Kelly Road and Mt. View Avenue and will work to reduce vehicle speeds to increase safety, particularly at the Galloping Goose crossing. To do this:
Speed cushions will be installed before and after the Galloping Goose crossing.
The cushions will slow drivers down on this wide section of roadway and give pedestrians and cyclists an extra measure of safety when crossing on the Galloping Goose.
90-Day Timeline: This traffic calming measure will be implemented within the next four weeks. It will remain in place as a trial for approximately 90 days, and then temporary measures not accepted will be removed. We'll be evaluating it on an ongoing basis over the 90 days with your input.
