Consultation has concluded
The City of Colwood's first Parks & Recreation Master Plan (PRMP) was adopted in April 2021. This plan will guide improvements to our parks over the next 10+ years by providing overall direction and guidance for managing parks and recreation resources, infrastructure, and investment. The PRMP is a strategic document that does not undertake detailed planning for each park or facility, but rather. provides recommendations for the entire parks and recreation system. This plan is intended to be a living document that grows with the community. Recommendations of the plan will be reviewed and adjusted annually to explore new opportunities and prioritize investments that reflect the needs and desires of the community.
The Recreation Master Plan process started in the spring of 2020 with residents sharing ideas. That resulted in a series of options that were presented for public feedback which was incorporated into the draft plan. We appreciate your help in shaping how our community grows!
