Quarry Park Expansion Concepts

When the Royal Bay development was approved, Council and staff ensured new parks would be provided as part of a complete neighbourhood, in accordance with the Official Community Plan.

In 2024, work will begin on the construction of Quarry Park on the South side of Latoria Road, adjancent to School District 62's new elementary school site.

Proposed expansion considerations

The Quarry Park Expansion Concept Plan and Proposed Elements List was generated from community feedback received during the Parks and Recreation Master Plan (PRMP) process, the Latoria South Parks Plan, input from key stakeholders, discussions with partners and City staff, and technical analysis of the site including subgrade conditions.
