Will residents be forced to connect to sewer service? No.
No. There is currently no City project or budget to expand sewer service in Colwood. Council wants to understand what portion of residents are in favour of exploring options for future expansion to determine what priority to place on it in the City's Strategic Plan.
How was the timing determined for each zone in the Sewer Zone Map?
The phasing proposed in the 2023 Sewer Master Plan update and shown on the Sewer Zone Map considers many complex factors related to expanding sewer service in Colwood, including but not limited to, geology and soil percability, where infrastructure currently exists, and where new development is planned or expected for each area of the City.
