Colwood Active Transportation Network Survey

The community has expressed a desire for increased active transportation infrastructure to better align with existing policy goals, objectives, and targets important to the community. 

Your input will support the City in developing an active transportation network plan and identifying priority improvements to support people walking and cycling to:

  • Better connect to our communities
  • Improve road safety 
  • Support healthy lifestyles
  • Meet our climate goals (transportation is the primary contributor of greenhouse gas emissions in our community)

The Active Transportation Network Plan will provide a course of action that reflects the community’s priorities and available resources. It will guide infrastructure investment and to help enable and encourage active transportation as preferred modes of transportation.

References to ‘walking’ throughout this survey include all trips fulfilled by people walking and people travelling with the assistance of a mobility device (eg. walker, wheelchair, mobility scooter, etc.).
