Disaster Risk Initiative Survey

With grant support from the UBCM Community Emergency Preparedness Fund, the City of Colwood is taking action to increase community safety and well-being by updating our disaster/emergency preparedness and developing plans for disaster risk reduction and climate adaptation. This includes addressing new requirements, including increasing and integrating these important areas of work.

Locally and globally, we are experiencing (and/or have increased risk for) more frequent and intense natural hazards (disasters) like extreme heat, heavy rainfall, severe storms, drought, floods, and wildfires. Planning and risk reduction is critical for the well-being of our community and has many co-benefits.

The City’s Disaster Resilience Initiative includes a community risk assessment, a mental health resilience strategy, and a disaster risk reduction plan for Colwood. This survey provides one opportunity for you to help shape that work. It will take you about 10 minutes to complete the survey. Your responses are voluntary and completely anonymous - we will not be tracking any identifying information.
