Traffic calming measures installed on Mt. View Avenue

City staff have reviewed, scoped and assessed how cars, bikes and pedestrians use Mt. View Avenue to assess methods for reducing vehicle speeds and increasing safety for pedestrians and cyclists. To do this:

Three speed cushions will be installed at regular intervals along the length of Mt. View Avenue.

The speed cushions will require that drivers slow down, increasing the safety of pedestrians and cyclists as well as the comfort of the neighbourhood.

90-Day Timeline: This traffic calming measure will be implemented within the next four weeks. It will remain in place as a trial for approximately 90 days, and then temporary measures not accepted will be removed. We'll be evaluating it on an ongoing basis over the 90 days with your input.
